hehe i checked back at the blender foundation since the disclaimer there said logos and stuff were excluded from commons creative:S

however TON (himself) wrote that its okay to use the Sintel logo if we like for such a smilie and proposed to maybe better use Durian since that name wont change anymore.

I'll try to make such one too asap. In case anyone loves Durian/ Sintel...anyhow not sure if theres a need for such one, but just in case 'We are safe to use em for that':)

@Zyzzy
:D rofl :D

edit:
heres the durian one:) *deleted due to issues with the spacing new version see below

@Nixon, the <3 on your 'smiley' is somewhat shifted to the left, not sure if that was intentional, but it might look better if it were centered between the 'i' and the fruit.

Maybe using the image of Sintel's face would be better.

I don't know how well it will look when resampled down (don't scale it down or it will get distorted), but it might work out. I think people will identify more with the character than the project's logo.

@radialronnie

yeah your right its shifted to the side..i didnt notice since the reference i checked already had this shift in it, also the almost innoticeable blend of color missed too, i tried to correct that..gonna give a shot at the face too..i wonder tho if this will be scalable to that small size and still easy to see..
anyway heres the new durian one:)

*edit:
okay now here'S the sintel face one, i had to edit it 2 times since the 'I' looked a lil different, i tried to get it as close as possible just using the primitives of inkscape:)
i used the smilies pak posted above wich gave me the chance to use the wider sign, however it still different from the other 2 sorts:S
not much detail of the face left but maybe still okay

i played around some more and i came up with a not so nice one...
I'd call it 'no-way' ...tell me what ya think, anyway since this is a negative one i'm not so sure myself...

Here's my entry into the new smiley foray:

'cause every now and again all we need is love, man.

btw, the smilies pack can be found here.

(Kernon, if you don't want to add this one I'll understand... it was my first try! :lol:)

I need one of a smiley looking around dumbly and shrugging his shoulders because he has no idea what is going on.

I could use that A LOT.
